" No Matter How Much Time and Effort It Takes, as Long as We Can Push It to the Absolute Limit, That Is Our True Intention. — THIS IS THE WAY. "
01 / Starting from Zero: Forging Our Own Factory
In early 2020, NAPE made a bold decision: we would start from scratch and build our own manufacturing workshop. From leasing the raw space and renovating, to moving in heavy machinery and setting up production lines—it took eight grueling months before everything was finally ready at the end of the year.
When the CNC machines arrived in early April, we immediately began prototyping our new 87-key board. But little did we know, the real test had only just begun. When our first 200 Manda top cases went into production, we noticed a subtle, 0.5-millimeter warp in the center.
To the market, 0.5mm is invisible. To a designer with severe OCD, it is a cardinal sin.
We spent a month diagnosing the raw material, scrapped all 200 fully machined aluminum cases, and delayed the launch by three months. The financial hit hurt, but we hold one unshakeable belief: Design and quality come first. Production efficiency is second.
02 / THIS IS THE WAY: An Uncompromising Aesthetic
We named this 87-key board Manda—inspired by the uncompromising creed of The Mandalorian. That same obsession dictates its shape.
Instead of using time-saving 90-degree cuts, we meticulously sculpted every intersecting angle so the keyboard truly "stands" three-dimensionally on your desk. We also evolved our signature layered design with an interchangeable mid-frame, offering 8 color accents and 4 premium materials (Aluminum, Tinted PC, PVD Brass, and Rubber O-rings).
03 / A Desktop Playground: LEGO Meets 5000 DPI
The back and bottom profiles introduce a playful studded building block module. To perfect this, NAPE invested heavily in a high-end 5000 DPI UV printer.
This isn't just a keyboard; it's a customizable canvas. Using 110 individual 1×2 building blocks on a base plate, users can render incredibly detailed theme graphics—from Camouflage to Cyberpunk aesthetics—directly through our website.
04 / The Core Ethos: From "Born for Love" to "This is the Way"
If our first board-Aurora 96 was about "doing it because we love it," Manda is about "if we do it, we must push it to the absolute limit."
From renting an empty warehouse and running four CNC machines, to hunting down the perfect aluminum and investing in custom UV tech. NAPE paid the ultimate price—building a small factory—just to perfect one keyboard.
